{"id":26,"date":"2021-02-08T23:01:19","date_gmt":"2021-02-09T07:01:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/trinity.truguce.com\/?page_id=26"},"modified":"2021-02-19T10:59:05","modified_gmt":"2021-02-19T18:59:05","slug":"sundays-at-trinity","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/trinity.truguce.com\/index.php\/sundays-at-trinity\/","title":{"rendered":"Sundays at Trinity"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"493\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/trinity.truguce.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/SundaysAtTrinity_1978748.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-59\" srcset=\"https:\/\/trinity.truguce.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/SundaysAtTrinity_1978748.jpg 493w, https:\/\/trinity.truguce.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/SundaysAtTrinity_1978748-300x192.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 493px) 100vw, 493px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2>Worshiping at Trinity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We gather weekly for meaningful worship that includes song, scripture, prayer, sermon, mutual uplifting and Holy Communion.&nbsp; We find daily comfort in reminding one another who we are and Whose we are.&nbsp; We plunge into serious scripture reflection.&nbsp; We learn to rely on God as revealed to us through Jesus Christ, a God who is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We pray in confidence that God hears us and acts, that we are known better than we know ourselves.\u00a0 We intercede for our family, friends, neighbors, leaders and strangers alike.\u00a0Healing prayer stations during every service allow another opportunity for us to address individual concerns, for ourselves or for those we love and care for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 style=\"line-height:1.5\">Centering Prayer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We gather on Sunday mornings before worship for contemplative prayer.\u00a0 It is much like the Buddhist tradition of meditation &#8211; we seek to quiet our minds and find our spiritual center.\u00a0 You may choose a word or phrase that has spiritual meaning for you, or just simply focus on breath.\u00a0 There are no rules or dictates for this quiet time of contemplation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Coffee Hour<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We don&#8217;t go home directly after our &#8220;Amen&#8221;. Coffee hour is an important part of worship at Trinity. Actually, it&#8217;s not really &#8220;coffee hour&#8221;, but lunch!&nbsp; A different group prepares the meal each week, so it&#8217;s always a surprise. But it&#8217;s more than just sustenance &#8211; it&#8217;s a chance for us to talk and listen to each other&#8217;s stories of life challenges and rewards, work, travels, and whatever is happening in our lives. It&#8217;s the time to celebrate birthdays and accomplishments, and to get to know our visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Trinity Choir<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Our enthusiastic choir offers inspirational music weekly through most of the year, in unison, two-part and SATB.&nbsp; We trust that the Holy Spirit will inhabit our words and harmonies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Christian Education<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We provide Sunday morning classes for young children (during worship). We belong to a youth ministry consortium that offers education, fellowship activities, and service opportunities for youth of all ages.
